2010 - JIS has been awarded the engineering and detail design for a 26,000 ACFM Wet Gas Scrubber Unit. The unit to be installed will reduce the emissions of the existing
flue gases from the FCC unit at a local refinery in Utah. The estimated engineering completion will be in February 2010.
2010 - JIS is engaged in the engineering and design for a new LPG Unit located in WY that will recover 7,000 BBL/day of C3's and C4's. The refiner expects to have the plant
operational by mid 2011
2010 - JIS has expanded its staff and demogrphic and has opened up an office in Baytown, Texas. This office will service the many plants in and around the Gulf Coast Region.
2009 - JIS completed a Sulfur Recovery Optimization
Study for a large Wyoming refinery as required in a consent decree with
the EPA and the Wyoming DEQ. This study included a detailed
evaluation of two Claus Sulfur Recovery Units (one with oxygen
enrichment), a SCOT Tail Gas Unit and a Tail Gas incinerator. The
client is proceeding with recommended improvements to equipment,
instrumentation, controls, and procedures.
2009 - JIS provided engineering, design, and on-site technical
assistance for a major turn-around at a large sour gas processing plant in
southwestern Wyoming. Work included: process, piping, civil, and
instrumentation design for revisions to sour gas treating and condensate
stripping, refractor design changes to a sulfur recovery auxiliary burner
and a reducing gas generator; and a general turn-around consulting.
2009 - JIS provided piping support detailed design and Material Take Off’s on 50+ lines in scheduled
turn-around . This work included; Ultra Former Unit exchanger bypass, N2C water wash, pilot gas trips to all furnaces, beveled gear operators for the Diesel
Distillation Unit compressor valves, Ultra Former Unit
platform modifications, and various pump and tank modification projects in SLC, Utah.
2009 - JIS provided a complete construction package of detailed drawings and specifications for a Liquid Incinerator
Chamber (LIC)
incineration facility building and ancillary site facilities to support the
incineration process.
2009 - JIS successfully engineered and designed the 3-D expansion of a 2.4 to a 6.2 MMSCFD Straight Gas Run Plant (SGRP) including an 1100 hp GE Gas Compressor in Utah.
2008 - JIS successfully
completed the process design, engineering (3-D), major equipment procurement
of a 550 gpm Amine Unit in West Texas.
2008 - JIS performed studies from performance issues dealing with noise coming from pipeline facilities
in WY, CO & UT to finding suitable sites for future gas facilities.
2008 - JIS successfully started up a new 280 gpm Sour Water Stripper
and performed the process design, detail design, procurement and provided operator training and startup assistance
in West Texas.
2008 - JIS performed engineering and detail design for a new Alky Water Wash system in SLC, UT.
2008 - JIS successfully engineered and designed Alky Water Wash exchanger in an accelerated project schedule in SLC, UT.
2008 - JIS performed detail engineering and design
(3-D) for line modifications to Flare Gas Knock Out Drum. JIS also performed detail engineering
(3-D)for the addition of the Flare Gas Knock Out Drum in Utah.
2008 - JIS completed partial schedules A and a Total Installed Cost estimate for a Sulfur Recovery Unit, Tail Gas Unit, Cooling Tower and Motor Control Center
at a major refinery in Kansas.
2008 - JIS provided the design (3-D), equipment selection and drawings necessary to install additional compressed air storage for
a gas facility in Wyoming.
2008 - JIS performed process and detail design (3-D) for
a trace sulfur removal reactor, three phase separator and skid in Price, Utah.
2008 - JIS completed the detail design for four (4) new articulating arms with associated controls for a new load out facility. This also included suction and discharge lines for fly ash in Wyoming.
2008 - JIS performed process and detail engineering
(3-D) for the connection of chiller skids in Rock Springs, WY.
2007- JIS successfully completed
the process design, engineering (3-D), major equipment procurement, and
started up an 84,000 SCFH Flare Gas Recovery Unit in a major West Texas refinery
in August 2007.
Salt Lake City 2006 – As a result of growth, Job
Industrial Services moved its corporate offices from 48 W Senior Way in Salt
Lake City, to a larger facility at 1805 South Redwood Rd., also in Salt Lake City.
